What if the camera doesn’t work during a video call on a desktop or computer

If the camera isn’t functioning on a desktop or computer, take the following steps:

    On Google Chrome Browser (Computer):

    • Open Google Chrome.
    • Click the three-dot icon and select Settings.
    • Scroll down and click Privacy and security.
    • Click Site settings.
    • Under Permissions, click Camera.
    • Ensure “Ask before accessing” is turned on.
    • If a site is blocked, change the permission to Allow.

    On Safari Browser (Computer):

    • Open Safari Preferences (Command + ,).
    • Select the Websites tab.
    • Click Camera on the left sidebar.
    • Manage access (Ask/Deny/Allow) for each site.
    • To allow access for specific sites, select Allow from the dropdown menu.
    • Under “When visiting other websites:”, set the default behavior (Ask/Deny/Allow).
