What if the camera doesn’t work during a video call on a mobile device

If the camera isn’t functioning on a mobile device, follow these steps:

On Android Phones:

  • Visit the gear icon to open Settings.
  • Tap Security and privacy.
  • Tap Privacy.
  • Toggle Camera and Microphone access under Controls and alerts to enable/disable them.
  • For specific app permissions, tap Permission manager.

On iPhones:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Scroll down and tap Privacy.
  • Tap on Camera.
  • Toggle the permissions switch next to the app’s name to enable/disable.
